27th November, 2011: JYJ in Berlin - Fanaccount: Day 1

Nov 27, 2011 01:14

Time for me to start with my fanaccount on the "JYJ Worldwide Tour - Berlin" concert~ *yayyy*!!!

First off, I won't write about the fail with OMI (Open Music International)'s fail regarding the ticket sale, 'cause .. lots of people wrote about that already & I really don't want to remember that mess xD I'll just say that it was exactly that: A huge, horrible mess =(

We left on Saturday (2011-11-05) early in the morning (~6am) and set off to Berlin after I checked all my stuff for the last time to make sure I did not forget anything (red lightsticks, Vanessa & my tickets, hostel reservation, Phoenix shirts, & the 50 white lightsticks I was scheduled to give out before the concert on Sunday^^).
After about one hour, we arrived at Julia's place and picked her up after some difficulties of not finding her house (GoogleMaps really needs to update her neighborhood.. that parking lot I used as orientation point isn't there anymore.. it got replaced by a huge building xDD) and set off again

The following 3.5 hours of driving flew by really fast because we were talking almost non-stop xD. These are the kind of things that still amaze me about our fandom & why I love it so much:
Even if you meet someone you've never met before, it always feels like you've known them for a long time already ^_^.

After we arrived in Berlin around ~10:30am, we checked in at the hostel and since the rooms weren't available yet, we decided to go to the Tempodrom first, to meet up with Meli & to check out the location.
There, we got our first shock: There were already people lining up in front of the ticket office!! So we decided to stay there for 2hours so that Meli and her friend (sry, forgot the name ^^;;) could go warm up somewhere, because it was freaking cold!

During these two hours we talked to some of the people and we got to know that most of them were Japanese who flew over from Japan on Friday evening and planned to camp out there until the ticket office opens at Sunday, 10am.
After the two hours were over we switched again and went back to the hostel to get our luggage to our rooms & see if the others had already arrived.

A few minutes after we got to my room, we noticed Trangi arriving ^___^ (she was staying in the room across the hall) and again a few minutes later, my lovely Czech roommates, Terry, Any and her friend (love u~ <3 <3 I miss u so much~ T__T) also arrived and I decided not to camp at the Tempodrom until Sunday 'cause I was already not feeling well during the past days and I didn't want to risk being sick during the concert.. which would really suck =(. Adding to that was the fact that I did not want to miss our scheduled Phoenix/KPopVision meetup at Potsdamer Platz later that day. ^__^

After we spent some time talking and getting our stuff set out, we already had to get ready to leave for Potsdamer Platz again since the scheduled meetup time was 5pm. We decided to walk there and stop by at the Tempodrom for some time. We saw that the line had to move away from the ticket office a bit since there was another concert that day.

On the whole way to Tempodrom and after that to Potsdamer Platz we were holding up our awesome Phoenix - JYJ banner (made by Any ^_^). While walking, we also talked to one of the Japanese women who was also going to the meetup and after she saw our banner, she told us that Phoenix was really famous in Japan!! me: --> O__o I did not even expect them to have heard of us but to say lots of people know about Phoenix over there really came as a shock to all of us xDD

Arriving there, we saw that lots of people had already arrived! Since we didn't really expect so many people, we were really surprised once again xD

We put up our banner and talked with some people^^. One by one, I noticed my lovely Phoenix friends I already met before in Stuttgart/Prague (I think everyone was there: Bine, Elina, Vanessa, Carol, Vanda, ... <3 I'm not sure who else I met there since there were just too many people!! xDD)
As soon as the members who were scheduled to give out the lighticks there announced they were starting now, everyone rushed to them xDD
The scene looked really funny, almost as if they were selling drugs or something xD

In the end, we didn't have enough lightsticks for everyone who was there since we did not expect so many to come to the meeting, but we still had some planned to be given out on Sunday (that's also where I had to get to work xD).
After around one hour, the meeting was over and we decided to go find something to eat. We came across a Subway and got sandwiches.. which was quite stressful for me because I was playing translator for the others xD
At that time, Any checked twitter and noticed that JaeJoong posted up a picture of him at the Wall at Potsdamer Platz, right where we had our meeting, a few minutes before! Which means he either was there at the same time & we did not notice him, he was there earlier/a bit after us or he used a picture he already took during the week before xD. Me and a few others like to believe that he posted that picture because he saw our meeting there and that it was his way of telling us that xDD.

Well, we probably won't ever know for sure, but the coincidence of posting that exactly when we're there by chance is quite... I don't know xD & it feels really nice to think he saw us xD

Then, we set off again and went to see the Sony Center, which was really beautiful at night and we were amazed at how silent and relaxing the atmosphere was.

Our next stop was the Brandenburger Tor, where we went around for some time and took photos.

We also went around the Bundestag building while trying to take photos of everything (which was quite hard to do since it was dark already^^).

Sadly, my digicam decided to quit working around that time again, so I had to stop taking photos =(.

When we finished walking around the different buildings, we went back to the Brandenburger Tor and stayed there for a while again before setting off in the direction of our hostel. Since the Tempodrom was on the way, we stopped by there for a bit and saw that the line did not get that much longer, so we decided to come back there and line up around 5am on Sunday. (It was ~8pm at that time) We also talked to a guy who was curious about why there were so many people already lining up, so we told him about JYJ and the concert^^.

After we arrived at the hostel, Any checked twitter again to see if anyone posted something important and she saw that JunSu posted a picture of him at the Brandenburger Tor!!!

We immediately checked the time and calculated back and we came to the conclusion that he posted the picture about 20 minutes after we left there!! Considering he probably wouldn't have posted the picture while he's still there, he must have been there around the same time as us!! (Okay, or he used a picture from ealier that week, but if not, we missed him by a few freakin' minutes!! Or worse, we just did not see him there!!) Can you belive how frustrated we felt then? xDD I couldn't really sleep because of that & kept dreaming about the fact that we missed him xDD (it's kinda funny afterwards, but still frustrating too T__T)
We finally went to bed around 10pm and set our alarm to 4am.

Well then, that's all for now.. the concert day will follow soon^^, I'm getting kinda tired now ^^;;
I hope I didn't make too many mistakes.. I'll re-read it tomorrow to check, I'm too sleepy to find any mistakes now^^
Update: I think it's okay like that xD

Good night~ <3
love 'ya
