I love KEXP. It's the UW's college radio station and it plays such ecclectic, amazing stuff. I just requested some new Polyphonic Spree via e-mail about fifteen minutes ago, and the DJ just said her whole 'by request' bit and said it was one of her favorites and started playing it. :D I just think it's amazing that I affected what every listener is hearing right now (which extends through the whole Seattle area and down to Tacoma) that quickly...and I love this song.
I want an internship there so badly. My mom told me she would consider it as a job if I could land myself one, even though it wouldn't pay. I've never really wanted any job/internship/position as badly as this. I think when I go to the UW next I'll see if I can find the location of KEXP in there and try to talk to someone about it personally, see if there are or will be any positions open soon...because if I could get an internship, that would be amazing.
