What I'm watching now...

Lately I'm going back watching classic movies I love so much again, like Alfred Hitchock (Rebecca (my favourite! And I love Daphne du Maurier!!), Psycho, Suspicion, North Northwest...) and Ingrid Bergman. I'm probably one of few ppl my age who loves classic and oldies.:P

What about Anime? Well, since I hate starting sth and not finish it (except the Anime is sooo bad, that watching cause nothing than annoyance), I picked up again following Anime:

- Fullmetal Panic (finished)
- Hakouki (after intented to drop it after Ep.5, I've considered to give a try again)
- Vampire Knight Guilty (watching. Though I'm not very fond of the first season)

Fullmetal Panic 1st season
I've started this anime more than a year ago, but dropped it after ep. 8 or sth, then continued watching some months ago till ep.20 (it got more interesting), and now finally finished it last week.
Not sure why it took me so long, bc it wasn't all that bad, and I could enjoy it more or less. Maybe it's also bc the plot wasn't so special, not much depth nor originality, but well, it was passable overall.
And also a problem is the main character: I don't like Chidori, but don't hate her either. But I think, if she would exist, I couldn't befriend her...

What amuses me the most is:

-Sagara Sousuke => a Hidaka-Ken-look-alike (from Weiss Kreuz), both voiced by Seki Tomokazu. Both are somehow alike too, not only in appearance.
-Kurz Weber (a german name! xD) => Youji (from Weiss Kreuz  too), both voiced by Miki Shinichirou. And both are also similar in personality.xD

Coincidence? Why does MikiShin seemingly always voice the same kind of guy anyway?!

Hakuouki
As I'm very interested in the Toubaku- and Meiji-period, and also quite fond of Shinsengumi, this Anime caught my eye immediately. Besides, the artwork looks nice, the cast is full of big names and thus very promising.
But as I've started watching it, it came clear, that this Anime probably won't provide much worth watching beyond fanservice, dull relationships and clichéd characters. -_-
Honestly I've got tired of the same constellation girl-surrounded-by-a-bunch-of-bishounen-constantly-protecting-her... ("Fushigi Yuugi" and "Haruka naru toki ni" send greets!) Sorry to the fans of this kind of Anime, but I cannot help to feel annoyed by such obvious fanservice and dull plotlines. But everyone is entitled to his opinion, so I dont' mind others liking it.
Why I've decided to watch it though after wanted to drop it? Mainly bc of the awesome cast, and besides, there are accurances history-like and I was interested how the Anime portrays these events.
Maybe also, bc I hate starting sth and not finish it.

Vampire Knight Guilty
After finishing the first season, I didn't intent to watch the sequel. I don't really get why this Anime is so popular... I dunno about the Manga, though it's said that the Anime adaption doesn't differ much from the original. Is it bc of this "Vampire-Fever" going around? (Is Twilight popular in Japan anyway or is it coincidence?? However, "Vampire Knight" and "Twilight" are released the same year, if I'm not mistaken.) I've heard that a third season is planned too!
But my friends said that the second season is better and gets to the main point of the story, so I eventually cast away my "biased opinion". Maybe also, again, for the sake of hearing many of my favourite seiyuu too, I'm not so that reluctant that I would consider watching it a waste of time. Haha!
Now I just finished episode 5, and I have to say, that till now it's better than the first season and there are some twists making you wonder what happen next. Maybe I'm really "biased" and after the last episode my opinion about this Anime will change? Anyway, "Vampire Knight" is at least better than "Hakuouki", definately.
Since I'm not good with expressing my feelings or opinion, so I can't write a reasonable critic or review. I don't dictate others what they have to like or to do, so I don't mind if others are fond of this Anime and disagree with me. I don't dislike it either, but wouldn't watch it again, at least not the first season.

anime, seki tomokazu, miki shinichirou, movies
