Now that's a snowman with character. pronker January 29 2010, 16:40:38 UTC
I'm speculating like crazy ... it wasn't a grain loader, was it, since the land is desert, so could it have been something like borax or sand or some other mineral? My dad worked nights up in a gravel plant that looked like that, way up top in the little lighted booth that controlled the loaders. We used to drive by and see just the lights, not him, but we'd think about him.

Those pictures and scenery are great, thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I'm actually thinking borax now too... there's a city nearby named after it actually (Boron) and it's way more to the east, but I'm sure there are other mines spread throughout the area.

Yup, I think it's definitely a mine. There is an old diamond mine close, too. NEXT EXPLORATION SITE~

having a landlord that fixes everything is one of the few pleasures of renting.

Yeah. I still... think I need to know a few more maintenance things, just for my own sake.

If you're renting a house/whatever you will still have a landlord to fix those things.

What do you call a highway?

It's a freeway here for the most part, even though there are a lot of them with "highway" in the name. Idgi.
