Everyone is accepted, personality quirks and all, and nobody cares about those mundane things from what I call the "straight" world such as what you do for a living or how much money you make. 3. Family. This doesn't mean blood relations in my world. My family of origin is made up of perfectly wonderful people, but I've found my true family in my circle of friends. californiaquail said it beautifully in a recent fanfic:

4. Fandom and fanfiction. Getting involved in the "House" online fan community and reading/writing fanfic has introduced me to all kinds of interesting and creative people and given me an outlet for my own creativity. It also provided a healthy obsession to replace a most unhealthy one.
5. Food. I don't care to invest the time, money and energy in preparing elaborate dishes, but I am blessed to have people in my life who love to do so, and who share their output with me. Lookin' at you, chezjake. But I do have ...
6. Flour. I'm not much of a cook, but baking comes easily to me, and I love being able to whip up a loaf of bread or a batch of brownies to share with 1. and 3. above. Not to mention ...
7. Fermentation. Beer is another lovely, easy thing to make and share with my nearest and dearest.
8. Fur. I can't imagine life without at least one animal friend sharing my home.
9. Fire. My dream home would have a fireplace in every room. In the meantime, I'm quite happy with campfires and the outdoor fireplace in NiiceDuude's backyard.
10. Fleece. Essential apparel for enjoying a chilly night with 1. and 3. in front of 9., preferably with some 2. going on.
