there's only one thing i like when getting together with the remollino clan: the time magazines on the coffee table of my tita

don't get me wrong, they're nice people. great people, actually. i'll learn a lot if i just open up to them (i refer to them as corporate bitches. they're not really bitches, but to the mind of the pre-sellout, that was a nice descriptor). i just don't want to be immersed in their world long enough for me to actually stop wanting cultural studies under my resume.

like just now, they were telling me: you should go to dr ned (roberto)'s classes if there's any. you should study market research (which i plan to anyway, but under the cultural studies department). after two years, palipat ka sa accounts (e??? no different from sales. and i don't want clients disturbing me as i watch japanese stuff). i mean, how do you reply with that?

i reply with a dry smile and a nod

anyway, this is not my point

back to time magazines. i found two lines from opposing endpoints of world views: a comedy movie, and an actual entity, but resonant in every breathing mammal with the capacity to think:

"you don't have to believe in your government to be a good american. you just have to believe in your country."

-US president, harold and kumar escape from guantanamo
kailangan ipakalat ito sa pilipinas. if only someone with a good heart commissions an ad agency (with consumer insighting *wink*wink*) to drive home this point to us pinoys.

"is it not funny that those with 160,000 forces in iraq accuse us of interference?"
-iran president mahmoud ahmadinejad

palakpakan naman dyan!

movies, lines, states, career, pinas, family
