Box Opening - Volks Claude + Sahra Pure Neemo

Jul 21, 2018 14:19

It's been a long time since I shared any box openings, and I still have so many links to replace since Photobucket went and fucked it up. -_- Years and years of uploads.
But now is a time for celebration! \o/

I ordered these lovelies on Friday the 13th. Unlucky day for some but I've usually had the opposite experience. I found a gorgeous tanned Volks boy, A limited edition SD17 Claude. Loved the color of him and the outfit was really pretty but wasn't sure about the rest. After searching some owner pictures (which are surprisingly rare) that do him much more justice, I realized it was the eyes that fit him badly making him look strange, and that changing them made him into a different doll. He had red eyes which I'm slightly allergic to. Don't like it on dolls or fictional characters.

I figured I might as well check the seller's other stuff while I was at it, and came across an adorable Pure Neemo. I unfortunately had messed up my first one by trying to give her a face up of my own so I wanted a new one. So I got her too. ^_^
The customs ended up at a whooping $225. Yes, twohundredtwentyfive US dollars. You read that correctly. You now understand why many Swedish people ask sellers to undervalue the package before they send them? The post office lady looked shocked and sort of apologetic when she saw it, and asked nervously "worth it though?" I knew what was in that huge box, so I replied that oh, yes very well worth it.
It was boiling hot outside when I went to get him but I walked down to the post office, and then carried him home by myself. It felt kind of important to put that extra energy to it for some reason.
Enough babble, lets get to it!

These are not his original eyes, they're Maco eyes that fit him fairly well for the time being. I took the default out as soon as I could! Volks y u use hotglue? Such a pain in the butt. I also totally derped when I was about to put his hands on. They were not on, to prevent breaking. I didn't know how they worked and didn't check properly how to put them on *facepalm* so I tried doing it the usual way. Bad idea. I don't know how long I spent on those hands but over an hour is not an exaggeration. But not once did I lose my temper. I finally through using my own materials managed to salvage the situation. I hope it'll hold.
I've named him Gust Wilde, and I love him so much already! Gust is after my favorite NPC from the game My Time at Portia. Wilde is after Zootopia's Nick Wilde.
This character introduced himself, and gave me a good chunk of his story two days before I got him, and I'm going to have so much fun with it!
I don't have a name for my little Pure Neemo yet but I know she's an android that works like a mix between a help, computer, and for company. This one belongs to Ripley's older brother, Hazel (who I'm hunting a doll to portrait) but Gust gets one of his own later. In fact I'm waiting for her right now.
Expect more box openings again. I have a massive amount of Yuri on Ice stuff to share too! Time to expose myself to that horrible hot weather again because I need Strawberries. :3
