My library is weird...

Um, yeah...I found J.V. Jones' A Cavern of Black Ice...The online catalogue said that the library didn't own that book...So, why is it there, when I searched under title, author (both Jones, JV and JV, Jones.) What???
And then, the search engine said they had about 10 books on the age of enlightenment. Right. That's why I didn't find a single one, right?
And there's supposed to be another copy of The Kite Runner but it's not there. I asked the reference librarian: "Oh, go look it up on the electronic catalogue." Um, ok, so I try again. Nothing. Then I search the books that have just been checked in. Nothing. What???
Well, I just settled for other books, then, hrumph, so now I have A Cavern, Jo Walton's Tooth and Claw, which looks interesting, Catch-22, which people say I'd like, and Timothy Findley's Pilgrim because I've been wanting to give Findley another chance. I hated The Wars but it might have been because it was done for school...I also found Herodotus's The Histories.
