I tried to do a search for "phpbb cms" in the little earch bar in the upper right of FireFox and I got a message from google:
... but we can't process your request right now. A computer virus or spyware application is sending us automated requests, and it appears that your computer or network has been infected.
We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your computer is free of viruses and other spurious software.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.
"Well, shit," I think to myself, "What the fuck could cause this?" I check for spyware. Nothing. I check for viruses. Nothing.
It ends up that typing that particular search in to that box causes the problem. I could pull up a regular google page and even do the search, no problem. I could search for something else in FF's search bar without a problem. Just that particular search in that particular window does it.
I wonder if said searchbar uses a referral service or something? Who knows. Strange shit.
