Bahia Street, one of my favorite small organizations* devoted to anti-poverty work, is beginning to organize another of their annual trips to Bahia and Salvador, Brazil.
They have a
study trip, scheduled for next May, and a work trip that doesn't seem to be on the web site, for January.
I went several years ago, and it was a intense and remarkable experience.

* They've grown and gained much deserved attention and financial sponsorship, but their work is still very much on a small scale that maintains their emphasis on valuing local cultures and contributions and the successful interaction of strengths from all who are involved.
