At the landing at the top of the stairs now stands a capped 2-liter bottle containing a concoction that may become ginger beer in a day or two, thanks to a recipe posted by exterra (making it a ginger beer recipe from Pakistan (by way of Austria?).)*
Something seems to be happening in the bottle, because the internal gas pressure has noticeably increased since this afternoon. (I released some of it, figuring that the little yeasties will make more.)

As I mentioned to friends last night, I have every intention of opening the bottle out in the yard ... just in case. This led to the comment that, "We'd forgotten about your overdeveloped sense of adventure."

Me: "Is that what we're calling it now?"

Should we take bets? Given that the recipe was for a 1.5 liter bottle and I only had 2 and didn't measure things precisely but tried to take the increased volume into account, will the results:
• Be drinkable?
• Explode?

* Count this as a "we love the internet" moment.
