Staring at the clock
I don't understand why Herzog hasn't shown up. He was supposed to be here with the thing an hour ago. In the past hour, the following people have knocked on my door:
This worries me.
Herzog is never late, except for the time we were supposed to go to the movies and he was late, or the time that we were going to meet at 4 but he didn't show up until like 7:30 and we missed what we were going to do. He was also late for 1) My wedding 2) His wedding 3) My wife's funeral 4) His own funeral. I guess Herzog is frequently late. I probably shouldn't worry.

- Johnny the Nuclear-Fission Salesman
- The postman (he always rings twice; I don't know why)
- Three pigeons tied to a dog
- Mrs. Fitz, the landlady
- Some kid from down the hall
- Not Herzog
