Oh where oh where can my liquidity be?
Merill and Lehman took her away from me,
She's gone to the Treasury so I've gotta be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
We took a loan for my Baby's car,
We hadn't gone very far,
There in the economy, straight ahead,
A company was stalled, the bank was dead,
Ben couldn't stop, so he swerved to the right,
He'll never forget the sound that night,
The screaming wonks, the bustin banks,
The leveraged firms that I saw tank.
Oh where oh where can my liquidity be?
Merill and Lehman took her away from me,
She's gone to the Treasury so I've gotta be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
When I woke up, the cash was pourin' down
There were banks standing all around
700 billion rollin' through my eyes
But somehow Ben found my liquidity that night
Ben lifted her head, she looked at him and said
"Lower rates darling just a little while."
AIG held her close, Bear kissed her our last kiss
I found the cash that I knew I would miss
But now she's gone, even though I hold rates tight
I lost my liquidity, my credit that night.
Oh where oh where can my liquidity be?
Merill and Lehman took her away from me,
She's gone to the Treasury so I've gotta be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
