Dammit. I need to post more. Oh well, here's an update on my life for you people. I am 18 in 19 days (counting what's left of this one.) I've been trying to call the local GLBT center, to get in on that free counseling again (so as to procure me some estrogen,) but I have called twice in two weeks and they have not so much as responded. School is fun this year, seeing as all my classes are social studies, English or art of some sort. I've been spending large portions of my time on
OpenRPG. A ton of cool people on there. Some pricks, some idiots, some perverts and some prickish perverted idiots, but cool people, too. Add the fact that OpenRPG is a very good program for gaming, and it's all good. I still don't have a job. I've been submitting applications everywhere, but I haven't so much as heard back from any of 'em. Although, I do have a sort-of job. I'm on a board to design a new library downtown. Apparantly, my essay was good enough to make them ignore the fact that my application was submitted on the last day before the deadline and Mr. Wiley's referral letter was submitted at an even later date.
Either that or they didn't have enough applicants. But both the lady in charge of it and one of my friends at the library said that they liked my essay a lot. So my essays can get me into the International Baccalaureate programme and can make people ignore deadlines in favour of more holistic factors. Now if I can just work up the energy to write enough of them, I could amass a nice portion of money so as to pay for the university. Maybe that's what I should do in school instead of reading. I've mastered the art of absorbing what the teachers say while I do something else (although, really, that's natural for me--I need a second source of input/output for me to pay attention. Otherwise, I get bored and fall asleep.)
Also, I've been reading a bunch lately. Terry Pratchett and Charles de Lint books. I read Reaper Man, Night Watch, The Wee Free Men, some book I can't remember the name of and right now, I'm reading Trader. I love Terry Pratchett.
So...tonight I have some cardboard to cut for Sculpture and Pottery. And tomorrow is school again, and more me calling the GLO. I need hormones, dammit.
Oh, and by the way, if anybody is actually reading this, check out
Notebook in Hand. It's a totally awesome message board with totally awesome people. It's a lot of fun.
