Ok again it's been too long since I've updated so here ya go!
So the Blay is fine, I'm actually starting to work full days now, so full time hours is good, I've never had full time hours in a job so I'm pretty exhausted and it's nice to have a day off every now and then. Though I feel like I joined a sinking ship the GR has lost their department head who pretty much ran the joint and in my opinion was the best person for the job. meh. Only 2 more months of this and I'll be back at school.
That's another thing I can't believe at how fast time is flying and there's still people I need to see this summer. Though I have done some pretty fun things so far. I went to Montreal a few weeks ago, I went to La Ronde for Miss Amanda's 19th Birthday, pretty much the best birthday party I've ever been to. On the way back to Ottawa Amanda's crew dropped me off at my Aunt's place and I stayed with here for the rest of my duration in Montreal. On the Saturday following my dad, Claire and I went to see this exhibition at the museum of fine arts in downtown Montreal. It was about Disney and it showcased all of the fine art sources they used for their films and their conceptual art from Walt Disney's films (so it was only from his Silly symphonies and Snow White to the jungle book) But overall the exhibition blew my mind, I love looking at conceptual art from the films and the show displayed a lot of art from Illustrators that I had never heard of, it really opened my eyes to another world.
It also rehashed my love of Disney, when I was younger I really wanted to be a Disney animator, and that dream got thrown out when I went to Ottawa U. When I was attending Sheridan I figured that I would be some free lance Illustrator for the rest of my live, living from paycheck to paycheck, but seeing this show...I dunno I think I really want to work for this company....I'm wondering though if this is just a phase and by the end of my 4 years at Sheridan I won't want anything to do with Disney. But I haven't this passionate about something in a while. Well we'll see what happens won't we?
Canada day was fun, Jules came down from Guelph with some friends and Alison, Kat, Andrea and I went to the hill and hung out. Saw Fiest who Alison loves and now I think I'm a fan too. Monday Andrea and I went to see Die Hard 4 and now I'm pretty much in love with Bruce Willis...how freakin' hot is he?? I've been saying "Yippee Kay Yay Motherf***er" way too much! And I must point out that Willis' laugh in one scene is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Al and I went to see Transformers last night that too was an awesome movie. I think the audience made it like that cause it was definitely the hard core Transformers fans, they clapped, whooped and laughed. And little Shia Lebeof there was a brilliant choice for that role, funny funny kid. AND I loved the fact the guy doing the voice of Optimus was the orignal guy from the cartoon.....yeah!
I also feel like I'm slowly losing touch with friends, I dunno if it's something I did or maybe I'm just growing apart from these people. Anyways it sucks and I wish it wasn't happening, maybe I'm not that good of a friend. Not sure.
Anyways that's what life has been like here at Deena land and I hope you all have a pleasant day.
