So, what do you do with crappy-quality screen caps from a bootleg copy of the Transformers movie? Why, you sic a bazillion Photoshop filters on them so that it doesn't matter that the original screen cap is craptastic. So, you end up with something like this-here icon, done entirely because:
A) I'm having a bout of insomnia...which works out well since I've got un-housetrained puppy duty anyway. :)
B) I wanted to see if I could make a glowy TF eye effect work without looking too much like a Photoshop-added effect. It came out pretty well, if I do say so myself. In any case, it makes Barricade look even pissier, which is a plus in my book. :)
C) The world needs more Barricade icons. So sayeth I. :)
I also made this:
New sig pic thingy for the Cell. I'm on a duotone kick, apparently. If nothing else, duotone makes crappy screen caps look better, too. I wish Barricade were actually in the movie more; would give more screen capping/icon-ing opportunities. But I guess I'll just have to wait for the next movie. *sigh*
In other news, we drove up to Ouray, the "Switzerland of America" today to go swim in the
hot springs. It's a 75-mile, two hour drive, one way. You have to go over two passes,
Red Mountain and
Coal Bank, on
teeny, narrow, scary roads with huuuuuuuuuuge dropoffs and, today, washouts and falling rocks. Woo! So we go...and were able to swim for about a half-hour because it started lightning. :P So we ate lunch and went home. That's a long drive for 30 minutes of swimming. :p Need to go back in the winter, when it's tres cool to swim in the hot springs and there aren't any thunderstorms... 'Course, then there can be blizzards, which make the teeny, narrow, scary roads even more fun. :)
