More entertainment from fic research. Did you know there's a crater on Mars that's a happy face? Well, there is! (Warning! Large image!) This tickles my fancy...and I have no idea why...
Anyway, I think I've done enough research for a silly prologue for a silly story. Time to write the darn thing. This is a fic that I'm contemplating posting as I write it which, for me, is a very scary prospect. I don't really like making any writing of mine "public" in any official sense until I can read, survey, and appropriately edit the entire thing as a whole. It's a control thing, I guess.
And I kinda sorta need to let it go. Since this story has a built-in plot, so to speak, I at least have a framework to work with that I know can't change, no matter how much I might want it to change. So, that allows me to feel a little less control-y, I guess. The plot, after all, is already largely out of my hands. So, time to break the mold, yes. I can do this, even thought it's scary...
So, I'm hoping to churn out something at lunch and, if I churn out something that isn't utter crap, I'll post it everywhere...including at the Pit o' Voles. *gulp* :)
