So I have this humanized TF "story" that's in my head. I've posted bits of it here in the journal. But it's not like I can really call it a story because...well, it isn't a story. Awwww, no need to be nervous! On that note, please take what I'm going to say below as an "I" statement, not as a put-down of you as a writer (let alone you as a person!).

So Starscream broke his hand on Skywarp's face? Served him right. :D

I must say that this ficbit made me uncomfortable. Of course, if you meant for it to be uncomfortable, you've succeeded well.

To put it bluntly, between the ficbits you've posted thus far, I don't find your human!Thundercracker very sympathetic. To put it even more bluntly, I think he's a bit of a douchebag. (Which, btw, shows what a self-contradicting, fickle fanwoman I am, because I've previously said/thought that I would like to see people write not-nice TC for a change. But it's different when it's Skywarp he's being not-nice to...)

I'm really... not happy with how he's treating Skywarp, making use of his greater strength to physically shove "her" around/manhandle "her" (and enjoying it way too much, if those grins are any indication). Of course, it's a very Decepticon-ish thing to do, but then - it's Skywarp and Thundercracker! They've spent millions of years as comrades, wingmates, equals, relying on each other. I don't think TC would suddenly start to treat Skywarp as the "little woman" he can shove around and patronise and essentially tell to shut up and sit down just because they've ended in different bodies. Or at least I don't want to think that my OTP would ever interact like this...

I think "my" Thundercracker would have punched Starscream's face in for daring to lay a finger on his Skywarp, then fussed over Skywarp all caring-like. See, TC fussing over injured!Skywarp (or Skywarp fussing over injured!TC) is one of my kinks. (Using the term "kink" in the transferred sense of "stuff I really like to read because it pushes all my right buttons" here, not in the sexual sense.) So to see it combined with something that makes me uncomfortable, as in this ficbit, is rather like, "You're dropping vinagar on my sweet dessert!"

On the other hand... Skywarp, in his current state, is a scrawny woman who has to deal with certain limitations imposed by that form, such as "can get beaten up if she mouthes off to people" (of course, the same would go if zie was a scrawny little man, so it isn't even just a gender issue), and TC is trying to get that into hir thick head (didn't you say something along those lines at an earlier date?) - he's just not being very gentle/understanding/diplomatic about it.

And on the other-other (if related) hand, TC does care, even if he shows it in a gruff way (and that's what "redeems" this ficbit for me). On a level, he is being there for his Skywarp the best he knows. Decepticons don't do coddling. There is some of that 'old married couple', 'I'm grumpy but I care' in this, it just wasn't as obvious to me as it apparently was to neverwench. ;)
