I LOVE: complicated humanity, writing, Say Anything, dice, The Fantasticks, Star Trek, e. e. cummings, tea, Judaism, academic religious studies, Richard Siken, piano, things that challenge me, anything a 9 year old girl would like, being under blankets, sleeping in until noon, cooking, being held, Thai and Indian food, elements of storytelling, scary movies
I TEND TO LIKE: coffee, Broadway, girls with dark hair and glasses, terrible television about teenagers using too many drugs, thinking I'm pop-punk while wearing bows, people who hang out at gas stations, big cities, quietness, slutty dancing, obscure books, cursive, lyrics more than the tune, goodwill type shops, vintage, rainstorms, reading about other people’s lives
I REALLY DON’T CARE FOR: snow, arrogance (but my boyfriend would argue otherwise,) clingers, biblethumpers, one word texts, hurting people, looking weak, having to wait for things, people with a sense of entitlement, feeling cornered, olives
WHAT THIS JOURNAL IS: I write the ongoing accounts of the people in my life, and the ghosts that once were. I post many attempts at creative writing, be they poetry, short stories, prose about my life. I talk about my intensive academia and my big dreams. I explore my faith and my connection to the world. I make resolutions and then I break them. I get bored and tell everyone how much I like diet coke. Lately, medical issues have begun to be a factor in my life, but I try not to complain too much. I don't filter posts and I don't remember to post content warnings, so please don't add me if any of that will be an issue.
