Things are really agreeing with me here, guys. My mom and I drove in on Wednesday evening, right at rush hour and I knew I was at home. Denver is absolutely beautiful--no comparison to Oregon of course, but it's a close second. I've found my way around the city pretty well so far. It's divided into sections kinda like Portland, but they're all a part of the general Denver area. We're in the middle of Stapleton and Aurora..like you care, but whatev.
We had this crazy initiation thing today--we walked through these gates that only open twice in a year. Once for the incoming freshmen to walk through, and then once for the graduating seniors. There was a guy in a kilt playing the bagpipes. Good times.
Our bathroom buddies next door are cool. Cassie and Whitney. I met Whitney on our fly-in. She's from Boston and has a serious accent but she completely denies it. Good times. Cassie's from Colorado..and she smokes...a lot. But she's cool. Definitely some good potential in the guys on our floor..they're all really sweet.
Here's a story.
I was up on my desk putting up these wall tattoo things and one guy walked past, then turned around and came back and looked at me and asked to make sure that I wouldn't fall. I was like..'um..I think I'm okay.' Ha. Good times.
So, I met my academic advisor today..he's flippin' awesome. Not to mention, he's really deep into the hospitality stuff and that's what I want to do with my Entrepeneurship degree. So, he's like...exactly what I needed. Anyways, the school is awesome. I love Denver, and my address is as follows. Send me stuff!!!
