"I hate to see you when you're like this...but as much as it pains me to say it...Spike isn't dead" Angel sighed and walked over to her and touched her chin to look into his eyes "that pain in the ass works for me..." a weak smile came across his face as he went to the door. "You want to go and find him?"

"...What?" Buffy said, not sure if she heard him correctly. "Wait a minute, what?" She stared at Angel with a blank look, not sure what to do or think. The first feeling besides shock that came to her was anger. How could Angel have been hiding this from her? Was he trying to get to her before Spike could? Way to win a girl's heart, Angel. Keep the 'other man' being alive a secret. She felt like rolling her eyes, but it wouldn't have made any sense since she hadn't vocalized her thoughts.

"You're telling me, that for the entire 30 minutes I have been in this place, no one bothered to tell me Spike was alive?" She narrowed her eyes, "What is this? What's going on here, Angel? And by alive, what do you mean? Alive with a beating heart, or alive with the whole blood-sucking thing going on still? Or...has anyone touched him? Are you sure he's corporeal? Remember what I just spent the past year fighting!?" She took a deep breath to calm her ranting down, "Why didn't anyone tell me sooner," she mumbled under her breath.

"Buffy i assumed you know...you didn't tell me you didn't...he showed up in my freakin office" Angel turned the knob and opened the door to the vampire on the other side. Angel looked up and scoffed "oh great" He looked to Spike and then Buffy and then back to Spike "she's all yours"

He quickly blew past the pair and headed off to the break room to get his mind off the both of them.

Spike busted in to the room ready to give Angel a piece of his mind when he saw Buffy in there. Angel was there to 'but honestly who bloody cares' Spike thought to him self. Spike smiled looking at Buffy he was about to say something when Angel quickly exited the room. He turned to watch Angel leave the room. Once Angel was gone Spike turned back to Buffy with a smile on his face.

"Buffy I came to tell you that I'm still alive."

Buffy was about to retort to Angel when Spike entered the room and Angel exited as quickly as Spike entered. Her head was spinning. This was a lot to take in in such a short amount of time.

"Oh, you did, I see," she said, feeling flustered and shocked. She looked at him in confusion. Her mouth was parted slightly in shock.

"I...um, I have no idea what to do or think. I am honestly at a loss here, Spike." She looked around the room as though it would give her an answer. She began muttering to herself quietly as she tried to sort everything out,"Spike...holy crap, Spike's here. Alive. Angel is in charge of a law firm. Something's going on with Cordy and Angel." She took a deep breath before looking at Spike again, "What the hell is going on in this place?"

He watched carefully as she attempted to figure things out in her head. Spike could tell that his beautiful Slayer was swimming in her head. She was searching the room it appeared as though she was just checking the place out, but Spike knew her better than that.

His smile slowly faded he never could stand to watch Buffy going through hard and/or confusing times. He loved her far to much. Never the less though he had to break the ice keep things simple maybe lighten the mood.

"What the hell is going on in this place?"

"Oh evil people... Doing evil things, and I like to taunt them." He slapped on a fake smile for Buffy with the hope that it might cheer her up just a little bit.

Buffy sighed, "Then why are Angel and Cordy here?" she said outloud, though it was merely her thinking outloud.

She shook her head, "I don't get it. I don't really want to get it. This place is weird and freaky and I feel like I should be killing things instead of watching them get lawyer-y advise."

She brushed some of her long, golden hair behind her ear before looking at Spike earnestly, "But, the thing I want to know the most is...how are you here?"

Spike has been wondering what the story with Angel signing up to be apart of the big bad lawfirm was all about as well. He tried not to think about it to much he didn't know enough about the last few years of Angels life to really understand the decision.

He watched her brush her hair away from her face and it was like a snap back to reality for Spike. He had missed Buffy so much even the last year that he was around her he missed her. She was so distant from him all the way up until their last day together. All Spike wanted was Buffy's love and on what he thought was his last day and last few moments she gave it to him. Maybe he would find out today if it was real.

"But, the thing I want to know the most is...how are you here?"

"We don't know much. All we do know so far is that the Amulet had some kind of power that instead of destroying me it saved me inside of it and then some how it was mailed here."
