Thank God it's the weekend. This week definitely felt like a month and draaaaaaaaaagged.
Tuesday was the first meeting of Science Olympiads!! Sara and Kara are captains and Chris and I are secretary/treasurer. Yay for sharing roles! There aren't many new people, but the majority of them are freshmen, ew. (No offense to any freshmen out there...I'm trying not to stereoype, the only reason I said "ew" is because they were annoying.) The newbies include Jess (YAY!!), Eran (we knew he'd be joining, as Orie's brother and all), Scott Murrah (we thought he'd be coming too, yay for techies), Emily Bradshaw (Sara's sister...the only freshman that isn't annoying, yayyy) and four other annoying-as-hell freshmen. But their "leader" as Kara has dubbed her is banned from after-school activites as a punishment from her parents, so maybe the rest of them won't come either. They can't be of much use, I know at least one of them isn't even in honors science and it's like...okay, why would you do an academic club if you're not in good academics?! But that's just me. Whatever. Hopefully we can scare them away eventually. I used "yay" a lot in that paragraph, hm.
Then nothing much happened for the rest of the week except it was way too long.
Friday was my first-ever meet!! WHOA. I actually swam in it, what? Yeah! And we didn't come it last! We came in second to last! But if this one girl wasn't in our relay team we would've done so much better. Anyway. They made me anchor (go last) though and I was really nervous, but apparently I swam really really fast which is cool. I took like eight strokes to a breath in the beginning. And Kevin is AWESOME because he taught me how to dive without making my goggles falling off. ;D After the meet we were supposed to go ice skating (me, Jess, Kevin and Glick) but Kevin bailed a few days earlier to go to homecoming, and then Glick didn't want to go so they all ended up at homecoming and I was upset because I couldn't go. But the Heather said that the gang was going to see Flightplan at 8:10 so she said she could pick me up and we went to the movies and I was happy, but then we got there and got the tickets and went into the theater and it was packed and we couldn't see them, so we called Ashley and asked where they were. In the meantime we found seats and watched the movie. In the middle of it, Ashley called back and said that she, Kate, Allie and Alison went to see Red Eye, and Sara, Frankie, Emily and Justin went to Corpse Bride. And we didn't get to see them because we came out like five minutes later than them and they left! Which is kinda sad but we're going to Kate's tonight so I'll get to see people. :)
We had the homecoming parade today and I got to see Mr. Sammarco and Mr. McCoy and it was fun. We had to be there at 10:00 and the parade started at 11:30...go figure. Whatever. It was kinda cold in the beginning so I was glad to have my long sleeved shirt and pants, but then it got warmer and I got more and more uncomfortable. Oh well. I was thirsty throughout the whole thing so that was bad. And then Aunt Teri and Dad and Tara all screamed my name when I passed them and I started laughing and I couldn't play but oh well. And I'm not even going to go into the fiasco with leaving my piccolo in school. Ask me in person and I'll tell you the story because I'm too lazy to type it here. So after the parade I went home with Kara and we studied some physics and PSAT stuff and talked and did SO stuff and it was fun. And now I'm home and about to go to Kate's. So yeah, I'm gonna go get ready and stuff and go.
Bye! :)
