Okay so the massive life update is apparently not happening.

Nothing amazing has gone on in my life, really. I was kept busy by the non-profit's campaign in August. Though not as busy as last year, which is kinda sad. My vacation plans were shacked, so there goes that. Still at the same job. Still making little progress on driving --though there is an almost reason for that one which I'll probably write about next week depending on how something goes.

My massive silence before was also contributed to by the INHUMANLY LONG RP I'm doing. (It's got to be close to 1000 pages by now. First file is 500, I think it's something around 300 or 400 on the 2nd file on my main com and that's without the bits written on the stint on my mother's laptop. Which I stole (ish) because of a busted wireless keyboard and a loathing of my old clunky thing) I really need to start editing it down. I'd really love to share it with people. And my RP partner is amazing. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU AAARRE)

Fandom wise, early August when the hoot wasn't going on and I wasn't slipping on my Claude-suit, I devoured MLP:FIM in a week. Yup. That might amuse someone here ;) I thought it was cute enough. A nice distraction. I ship Rarity and Applejack, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Sue me. (Though, admittedly I'm an omnishipper soooo other ships are totally acceptable)

Tiger & Bunny came and went- AND IT WAS AMAZING.

Hanasaku Iroha- Finished this past weekend and it was adorable, and wonderful, and just left me feeling good. It doesn't hurt that my crack ship became a little less crack but by no means an actual ship.

Drop Dead Diva- I admit. Guilty pleasure. But it has musical numbers on occasion. >__> And the activist in me likes it. Another season's come and gone and I was properly entertained!

Against the Wall-- Okay. All you closeted (almost) feminists out there. Or Media critics. If you're not watching this show, you should be. The way the lead character is written, and preformed, as well as her partner is astounding to me. The character seems well rounded with hedr own set of quirks and endearments while being able to roll up her sleeves in play with the big dogs in a way that doesn't feel forced. She feels like a real person. I love it. I really need to find out who the lead writer is on this show.

Now I've seen this be completely argued for the first episode which involves Abby's coping mechanism being non-attached hook-ups. But the thing is, she fleshes out. And heaven forbid a woman be promiscuous. She's not sleeping around. She has one go-to. She has values. And when you've been studying and as focused as her I can understand the no-attachments mentality. Also? Gratuitous scenes have pretty much stopped since the first ep--so you know it was probably a gimmick to try to placate husbands who would never admit to letting their wives watch something on Lifetime while they're in the room.

I really feel like writing a paper on this show. It's what I miss about my media crit courses. I think at the end of the season I'm going to just for LoLs. I'm strange, I know it.

Secret Circle- Okay this is not great television. It's hokey and teenage based. That being said, it has Gale Harold (Queer as Folk) and Britt Robb (Life UnExpected) in it. And it's not QUITE as cliche as I expected. Also won't lie. Totally into Ethan, even though he's a parent on the show. Don't care. that man is fine. And the character is adorable. I want to hug him.

I have way too many hockey WIPs. This needs to be remedied.

I'm also addicted to someone's OC. terribly.

I should be doing homework, but the stupid stream of my lectures for thsi segment buffer every minutes. I kid you not.
