I think it's nearly two months since I arrived here; time seems to go by very slowly yet instantaneously, like it's all one long day. I have moved out of the inn and am camping outside, having acquired some canvas and poles. I've never set up a tent entirely by myself, but if I awaken tangled in canvas I'll have no one to blame but myself. It is quieter out in the field away from the merchants (though some caravans are out there as well), and certainly away from the noise of the inn, as the room was right above the dining room.
The practices are going relatively well; I will probably cover that in more detail in another entry.
There are two new arrivals, a swordsman, Zaj, and a gentleman in a red coat whose name I did not quite hear, though might be this "Godwin" that the young gentleman Barows mentioned. Rival houses, I take it, and since Barows mentioned he is from Falena, I'd wager so is the other gentleman is as well--and that therefore he might be the man Alenia is concerned about. I am worried about her, but this is her challenge, and I hope what I said to her the other night will help, not hinder her resolve. Speaking of Barows, I was a little wicked with him, but I don't think he noticed. I should be ashamed of myself, but I can't quite bring myself to be. I've met more than enough nobles like that before.
