Thoughts

Well I was given another reality slap by Col and I am very seriously contemplating going back to school.  The question I have is what do I go back for??    If any of you would care to help by making suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, I had more words but the LJ server ate them.

I still think you should go talk to the Career placement people at ISU. As an alum you have the "right". Also, you might see if you can hook up with some business faculty at ISU and see if they have any helpful advice.

Have you thought about an MBA? They aren't as useful now as they used to be, but it might be a way of getting your skills updated and getting a credential that would help you step forward.

Also, and here's the Chicago girl talking--is the market down there for the kind of work you are enjoying doing sufficient to support what you want to do? If there's a limited number of companies doing the kind of work you like you may not have a lot of choices in terms of what you do. In other words if you don't like doing this commision work, is there another firm that does the same kind of thing but on salary? This is an industry that I know almost nothing about--you would have a better sense of it.

If you want more Zanie advice *eyeroll* you could email me--it's on my profile page. Just so I don't bore everybody else here...:D

I had planned to go talk to the academic advisors at ISU and get there thoughts before I did much of anything.

I don't think I qualify to use the career placement at ISU since I got my BA from a private Lutheran college in Iowa. If you have other thoughts you can contact me through my email on the profile page as well.
