On the topic of dreams taking a horrible turn at the very end...
A few weeks ago, I had a dream that involved members of my family, including my grandmother, who passed away last year.
As I was going through the dream, the thought suddenly came to me - "What's grandma doing here? She's dead!" ... and it knocked me right out of the dream and painfully awake and missing her horribly.
I was able to fall back asleep - and the dream continued without my grandmother.
