Random fandom stuff
-I am so close to being done The Blackest of Blasphemies that it is sick. Less than one chapter to go. I've made a new goal to finish one chapter of whatever story I'm working on each week, so ideally it should be finished by this weekend and be ready to post in about a month. I haven't ever completed a multi-chapter fic before, so I am excited!
-On that note, though, I'm putting Sevenfold on hiatus for the time being. I worked on it a bit during my vacation and I realized that one of my major plot points doesn't fit logically with the rest of the story. I could edit it out, but then I'd lose the essence of what made my version unique. So I think I'm going to eventually end up re-plotting the whole thing from scratch, but I'd rather work on my post-Eclipse fic (I really need to come up with a name for the silly thing) before starting over. It might sound weird, but I feel like Edward and Bella are stuck in their meadow at the end of Eclipse, and their happy ending won't happen until I write it. Yeah, I'm nuts.
-If you haven't already, head on over to heroinexchange and read the awesome fics being posted there. Round two of the exchange is currently underway and new stuff is being released almost every day. Plus almost all of the fics so far have been NC-17, so that's always fun. The one that was written for me hasn't been posted yet, so I am waiting with bated breath.
-SMeyer just posted the FAQs for Breaking Dawn on her website. I wasn't going to bother reading it since I figured it would just piss me off, but someone mentioned that she finally reveals what happened to Marcus' wife and... holy crow. Just go read it, it's pretty messed up. I'm too ass-lazy to put the link in, but you know where to find it.
-The rest of the FAQ was pretty much what I expected. Still not buying her explanation for vampire hybrid babies, among other things. She also says that at the moment she has no plans to ever revisit Forks, which is like reason #639 that I think her reaction to the MS leak was more than a little bit contrived. Bleh.
-But, anyway, I think I've had time to mellow over the whole thing and I'm at peace with it. While I'm not feeling the love, I'm going to try not to spread the hate, either. The best part of being a fanfic author is that I can always just write my own story if I'm not happy with the official version (or in this case, the lack thereof) so if she hasn't changed her mind by the time I'm done my alternate ending to the series, then I may very well just write my own Midnight Sun.
-WTF is up with all the RPF (i.e. stories that feature RPattz and KStew rather than Edward and Bella) being posted lately? Up until a few weeks ago I think I'd seen one story, and now they're everywhere. Not trying to offend anyone here, but to be honest the idea kind of squicks me out. Then again, I don't get the point of AH fic either and they seem to be wildly popular, so maybe I'm just an aberrant little fanfic person. Who knows?
-Random fic rec: Innocent, Vigilant, Ordinary by Oxymoronic8. Pretty much my favorite Twilight fic right now. Again, I'm too lazy to find the link but you can get it at ffnet or Twilighted.
