Oz felt a little bad about leaving the party suddenly, but...he'd started feeling like the walls were closing in on him. His skin was itching, and he needed fresh air

Duce's voice comes lazily, "Hmm? From? Here. Well, not here, but .. this is my world. My parents live in Chicago. I've kind of been .." Realizing that saying "I've been around" is not a good choice, she restates, "I've been to a bunch of schools in the country."
She watches his finger making small circles, smiling at it. It's obvious he's either a guitar player or a typist- the calluses are a dead giveaway. "I was ..kinda a problem kid." Deciding that's not a safe subject, she changes it, "You? You said you were from.. wherever Vampire Boy's from. Where is that?"
"California. Sunnydale. It's...a hellmouth. Lots of demons there." Oz shrugs. "Otherwise,it's a nice place. Mostly sunny. I was...I wasn't a problem kid, just unmotivated. My dad sent me here because I keep failing my classes."
Tilting her head back gives her a great view of the underside of his chin, "Didn't you say you failed out to stay .." oh yeah. Swift. Bring up his ex. Socially adept, she ain't. "Uh. Hellmouth? I remember California being kinda creepy, but .. demons, huh? Like the kind raised by voodoo?"
"All kinds. A lot of old ones, too. Really old. There was an Inca mummy once, she kissed guys for vitality, she could pass for just another girl, no one could tell. Until her hands turned scaley."
He chose to focus on that part of the conversation, and gloss over the unintential circle back to Willow. "And of course, vampires and werewolves. I really only knew one other wolf, though. And my little cousin Jordy."
"Was that the little boy who bit you? When he shifts, is he a puppy? I bet that's adorable." She solemnly promises, "My hands don't turn scaly. Even when I'm big and icky, they're still normal." A small sigh escapes her. She shifts her shoulders from side to side slightly.
"I never saw him changed..." Oz wrinkles his forehead. He didn't like to think about Jordy changing, hadn't thought about it enough or in depth enough towonder. He knew his own wolf was huge, at least three times the size of a normal wolf.
"Hands are good." He lifts her arm, held her hand up to inspect it despite the darkness. There was enough light to see a silouette. "Hands are definitely good." He murmurs and tugs her hand closer, close enough to kiss the knuckles.
Her fingers uncurl and fingertips stroke his jawline. Her voice is quietly amused, "Bet it's cute though." Leaning up, she attempts to kiss the bottom of his chin. "Hands are good?"
She lifts the hand that Oz was kissing, twining her fingers with him and examining her hand and his, turning each to catch what little light there is. "Your hands are bigger than mine."
"Few years. I was hanging out with a friend when I was 11. His brother had a guitar. He let me play it, I was hooked. I had a band. Dingoes Ate My Baby. Stupid name, crappy band." Oz shrugs and laughs a little at the same time.
A laugh breaks from her throat, incredulous, "Dingoes Ate My BABY?! You did NOT! The pun-tacularness of that is just.. horrible!" She tilts her head back again to look up at him. She gives his hand a squeeze.
"Yeah. We did." Oz laughs too. "We played the club scene back home. It was...I kind of miss it, sometimes. Once I discovered it, music was like a shelter for me. The one thing nobody can take away from me."
He shakes his head, as if clearing a memory. "I'll play for you sometime."
Duce leans forward, standing. Turning, she offers both of her hands to help him up. "Yeah, you should walk me home. I hear there's monsters in the woods." It's dark, but the smile is very apparent in her voice.

He takes both her hands and heaves himself up. He keeps hold of one hand, slides the other around ehr waist again for the walk back to the manor.
