So my roommate and I are both sick. She with the flu, me with strep throat. Go figure.
Apparently there was a problem with the rails at Times Square/42nd St. today and that caused major backups for the line that I usually take to get to school, and as a result, it took me over 45 minutes to get to class. Well, after last week when my teacher threw a temper tantrum about people being late and it was decided that if you were going to be late, then don't bother coming, we were also given one more "get out of jail free" pass (or rather, one free late pass), to use at our discretion, with no penalties. Since I didn't know about the track problems by the time I got remotely near school, I turned around and came home because I was 25 minutes late at that time, and after last week's temper tantrum, decided I'd rather not risk it, thinking that they wouldn't believe me anyways. So I get back on the train going downtown to Brooklyn, and that runs just fine, and when I get back, my roommate tells me she got a call from one of our classmates telling us about the track problems, and that it would have been fine if I'd stayed, so needless to say, I was a little pissed. So instead of learning something at my Shakespeare class, I'm spending the day packing for spring break, making phone calls, going to my chiropractor appt., and hopefully sleeping and eating somewhere in there provided my stomach decides not to revolt on me while my grade goes down all because of the stupid fucking train. Fucking bastards.
Anyways, spring break is going to be so fucking sweet! Sunshine, warm weather, hot guys on horseback at the ren faire, camping, the grand canyon, slide rock, being outside for hours on end....ahhhhhhh. I'm so looking forward to that. I cannot wait! Arizona here I come.
