Brokeback Mountain
I went to the late movie last night with rhyenblues and Chad. I saw Brokeback Mountain. I have wanted to see it since it came out in theatres, and I must say it lived up to the hype. There were a few parts where I felt the movie dragged a bit, but overall a very enjoyable experience. I woke up this morning feeling a little bit sad though. I think it may have to do with the movie running so late (got done at midnight), and then going home and sleeping right away. I may not have had the opportunity to digest all of the movie. I know it is hard for homosexual people in North Dakota in this day in age, I can image it was 100% harder in the 1960s...especially when te individuals are in an occupation like being a cowboy...the manly man job.
I don't want to dwell too much, but the movie reminded me of a modern-day Romeo and Juliet to an extend. The ending is pretty sad. I cried of course...sucker for sad movies.
I give the movie 2 Thumbs up. A definate movie to go see.
