Happy as a Clam....Oh Really??
Yup...That's me...bored at work. Inside my head says "Bored @ work...why not go get nailed?" Ha Ha. Stupid, silly, and not going to happen.
I get to leave work at 3:30pm today. Happy as a clam about that. I wonder if you are 'Happy as a clam' does anyone even know you are happy? I look at a clam, and I couldn't tell you if it was happy. They don't have much facial expressions. So I suppose by saying 'Happy as a clam' you can't really tell if that person is happy...maybe it is a sarcastic saying. hrmmm...I've never really thought about that saying before. I wonder who came up with the dumb saying...'Happy as a clam'. Probably some celebrity or popular person came up with it, so it was decided the saying was hip to say back in the day. "Hey baby...I'm happy as a clam...how about you..*wink wink*". OR would it be they are trying to tell you they has some sort of nasty disease like the clap or crabs. All are seafood related (well maybe not the clap). Or maybe there relatives were clam fisher people, and they were happy they caught a lot of clams that day. So they were like...happy as clams or sarcastic saying on a bad fishing clam day. Interesting interesting...
