ok, so then there was the police raid

I know it's been forever since I updated, but I just haven't felt inspired lately.
That changed when I was on my way home with Bendi after fetching groceries and the NYPD raided an apartment building at the end of my block in front of my eyes. HA!
About 20 police officers with shields (think riot gear, not badges) and axes (think firefighters) jumped out of unmarked cars and started running into this building in front of us on the sidewalk. One of them was like "hold up, hold up.." and so we obliged.
We waited, then after a bit we heard yelling and loud banging (perhaps the axes?) and then after some more time we decided to just pass on by.
Such an interesting experience... ha ha!
Anyway, I'm sure it wasn't amusing for those being raided, but I'm honestly amused that this random, unexpected scene transpired in front of me.
