First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO
gajastar and
lynntownsend!!! May you have lots and lots of yummy birthday hugs and cake. :DDD
Secondly, my mom may be coming home today if we're lucky. If not today, then Thursday at the latest. So excited. So is my mom. I was helping file her nails today at the hospital (because they were looking so raggedy and she kept muttering about them) and her face just lit up at the mention of going home. *bounces*
Hopefully when we see her again later today the doctors will have made their final decision on when she'll be discharged.
In other news,
cluelessgrrl and I went to see The Unborn at AMC theaters and I'd advise you all to keep your money. That movie was the stupidest one I've ever seen. The plot was all WHA? and HUH? and we kept wondering who did Gary Oldman kill in order to be roped into doing such bullshit. I love me some Gary Oldman, guys, and this was so below his usual fare that one has to wonder. You know? But that's not the important part. The important part is as T and I were sitting on a bench waiting for our film to start, I suddenly heard the opening notes of Monsoon over the intercom....but I thought I was simply hallucinating and didn't say anything. Then T hits me all excitedly: "Rashida! OMG it's Tokio Hotel!!!!" I realize that I wasn't going insane like I originally thought, LOL, and that we were actually hearing the announcer saying that they were the new hot German import here in the States. The announcer went on to mention that they were named Best New Artist at the VMAs and blah blah blahcakes--they were mentioned! I had to fight the urge to get up and dance myself silly in public.
Our boys are making a name for themselves here and I'm really proud of them. It's a lot more than I've accomplished in my life, that's for sure.
Finally saw a picture of this Manzini guy and I'm still just going: "Wow, he really does look like Tom."
So, like, where the fuck was I that I am just now finding out about this guy? God, I really do live under a rock in fandom. *pouts*
But anyway, yay! My mom is coming home and Tokio Hotel is being mentioned in movie theaters. Oh Happy, Happy Day!
Yes, I am a dork. Witness my dorkiness.
