Henceforth I will refer to my biological parents as The Parental Units, or the Maternal/Paternal Units. My inlaws will be Mom and Dad ( Read more... )

Seriously, we HAVE to be related somehow. The similarities of the Maternal Units is frightening.

Yeah mine can't light a candle to both of yours. Though she does share similar traits. ;-) Well, sorry your Parental Units were all screwed up. At least you can have boundaries and so forth. That's so important for your sanities!

So familiar...

I'm just glad for you, actually. It sounds like they won't be stalking you anytime soon. ;-)

(Oh, but I do worry--didn't you need Paternal Unit's help with an upcoming expense?)

Well...*knocks wood* so far I've been feeling pretty good. I need to figure out if my getting on Medicare will do anything, positively, to change my insurance situation. If I'm in a better place with Medicare I'll go for it, if not, I'll just stay on hubby's plan. Regardless, I still need to get my eyes looked at, and since it's been almost six years since my last two brain surgeries, for my own peace of mind I need to get in to see a neurosurgeon. So at this point I don't think I'm in imminent danger of actually *needing* a neurosurgeon anytime soon, but it'd be nice to have one handpicked and waiting, instead of taking whoever's on call the next time I actually *do* need one.

You know the phrase that's bugged me all day:

"As readers of my and its_koi's journal may know. . ."

I can't get over the overwhelming awe that we may have similar readerships. LOL I can't decide, is this a great thing or are we both in mortal danger? :-P

*Blink*

Since we're both in #c on Undernet, and I'm pretty sure we're both members of callahanians here on LJ, it never occurred to me to think that particular phrase would be that bothersome to you. Try to relax.

I'm joking. I think I'm flattered. ;-) This is a person sticking out their tongue :-p

The implication was supposed to be - am I going to end up dragging you to hell with me by association with me? LOL If that happens at least we know it's warmer there than here. ;-)

And I know. . .you may not believe in hell per say. . .but I tell you if you survived a winter here you would be (pardon the pun) praying there was one and you could go there!

It's so unfortunately that people have to be this way. You deserve so much better treatment and support. I'm glad that you know that, and do not allow people to treat you any less than how they should.

(((gentle hugs & lots of love)))
