We are officially moved into our house!

The move went surprisingly smoothly. We had one of our best friends Doug here to help us, along with two of Justin's work friends, and between the four of them we were done moving in about five hours. And to make matters even better, no one was injured/maimed/killed in the process!

In addition, the cats adjusted to the move perfectly fine. I moved them around 8 in the morning before the guys got started so they could settle in a bit and calm down before all the noise began. I figured that the upstairs bathroom and walk in closet would be their safe area, and that they could explore further from there. In fact, after about half an hour, both Mandarin and Chantico were sniffing at the bottom of the door leading into the bedroom and the rest of the house, so I went ahead and opened the door. The explored the entire top floor and main floor before scurrying back upstairs into their safe area. Sierra has been a little slower to explore, but tends to venture out during the evening. Mander and Chantico also explored the basement today, though Sierra hasn't yet.

I also planted my three new vegetable plants - cauliflower, zucchini, and butternut squash. The status of my green thumb is entirely unknown at this point, so I'll post updates on the health of my plants.

The only snag we hit was that we forgot to transfer our natural gas service, so they went and shut it off for us the day before yesterday. That did indeed mean cold showers. Brr. But they came in today and fixed everything back up, and lit all of our pilot lights for us. Aside from that, though, everything else has gone smoothly!

Once we unpack the battery for my digital camera, I'll go around taking pictures and post them here.
