Veterinary Emergency - HELP!

Okay, let's see how much I can spit out before i get too depressed again. This is gory and upsetting, but please read through if you can, or skip to the bottom....
Some of you know my brother's wonderful german shepherd/border collie mix, Jackson. He's an awesome dog who I featured on youtube, completely gentle, terrified of thunderstorms.
On Labor Day, he was fetching sticks and caught one wrong. It went misdiagnosed as a sprained jaw for two days before he began to bleed.
On Thursday evening we rushed him in. He started out happily greeting the other dogs in the waiting room, then became lethargic. When we got him into the room, the vet opened his mouth, spotted a bloody mass in his mouth, and told us "this is very wrong" (can't remember his exact words, but that was the gist of it)
They weren't set up for surgery so that had us bring him back early Friday morning, when they anesthetized Jackson, gave him a blood transfusion, and withdrew a 2 3/4 inch long and half an inch thick stick from his jaw hinge.
We thought that he would be safe now and attended a pool party Friday night, but had to leave early when we were informed that a storm was coming, Jackson could not have his medication to calm his nerves, and the vets were closing at 8:00 and would leave the animals unattended all night.
Jackson managed the night nicely, but yesterday he began to bleed badly. My parents rushed him out to the car, with him collapsing once just before reaching the front door.
They got him out and got him to the vet while I was left to clean up the trail of blood leading from my bedroom to the door.
It turns out that Jackson had been bleeding much more than we knew, but had been swallowing the blood. He required another blood transfusion (the vet actually drove home and brought her own dog in to donate blood)and it was decided that he would go to the emergency clinic, where they were better staffed and could be with him at all hours.
He went in for surgery again while they attempted to tie off all the bleeding veins and stop any further damage from occurring. The hole had nearly compromised his nasal passage.

Right now I'm waiting for word from the vets, they're bringing in another surgeon to help because there is still bleeding but they can't determine where it's coming from.
My family is doing all that we can for him, but some of you know that we're not in the best financial situation right now.
if anyone out there can spare any amount, I would be eternally in your debt. Even a small amount would help.
I dearly love this dog and I don't want to see him die. i never beg for money and I would never ask, but I'm desperate.

Edit: Thank you so much to the friend who donated, you know who you are!
To anyone who helps out, I'll make mini dog plushies as a thank you.
