Oh my god, you broke me.

I pride myself on being someone who always leaves some (vaguely) meaningful feedback, but I don't really know what to say except that I loved this: I loved how you put Michael's existence in context, that he would live so long if Adam let him walk away, but it would only be a subsistence and he couldn't trust himself not to inflict Adam's fate on someone else again. This is probably the first story I've read where the Cage has actually become a home that they're not scrambling to escape from, and I love the idea. I loved the poetic way you built up to frame Michael's heartache (even though it nearly killed me).

I loved this, I must have read it at least three time. And I'm glad I apparently found some words (phew).

To be fair to Michael: it is impossible to know Adam and not be whipped by him in some way. The kid oozes adorableness. I'm telling you, if Rapahel got to spend time with Adam? He too would've been head over heels for the kid.

As much as the affairs of heaven aren't usually as serious as “Smite the world” like they were earlier, they are serious enough to warrant Michael's presence some of the time. Raphael, as much as he dislikes Adam, and Michael spending time with Adam, has taken over most of the duties of the Leader of the Host. Hence, even when Michael's presence is required it's for a very short while. Usually a few hours.

Michael has been gone for more than ten days now, and Adam was restless eight days ago. Now he's just plain... somethingIt's nothing serious, that he should be worried about it, Adam knows. If it was, Michael would've popped in regardless of the situation to give Adam a heads up, before popping out. So Adam knows that there's nothing to worry about

In our RP, Adam calls Michael "Old Man" all the time. Which started because Michael called him "brat" too often.
