And It's Getting Better.... Growing Stronger
Getting better every day! Sorry for the random Mama Cass, but it defines my last few days. We have officially replaced Kamil in the apartment. Thanks to Kevin's stellar Social Skill (he's got a +8 modifier!!!) we've met someone via gay.com who was looking for a place in Manchester that's less than $1100 a month. He was willing to pay that on his own, so the piddle $400 he's be getting at our place made him jump. We showed him around the other day and he completely dug the place, seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. He's a little shy, but I have a feeling he's just needs to come out of his shell a bit. We'll see. At the very least, he's paying the rent. Woot!!!!
Christmas was wonderful. For the first time since I've been working I got to spend all day with my family Christmas Day. It was nice a quiet, we ate too much, laughed a lot, avoided all fights and tension, and my parents were far too generous. In addition to an enormous amount of equipment for the kitchen, I was provided with two huge pieces of technology that I've been itching for for a while; a GPS and an iPod. I won't get lost in the car anymore! And I can have all my music in one place!
New Year's was a bit of a bust, thanks to awful weather and freezing temperatures. I (very reluctantly) stayed home and played cards with the family. It was nice, and I actually really enjoyed myself, but it's not quite what I was hoping for my first New Year's over the age of 21. Ah, well, there's always next year.
Other than that, things are going well. I can't wait for Friday!!!
