Psychic Awareness
This is an entry I recently posted to a "Pscyhics" community I'm a member of, on LJ, so I thought I'd share it with some of the other communities. All comments are welcome........

I do notice that alot of ppl. who join this community are in question of their own abilities, some, even wondering if they have abilities at all.
It is very difficult to "find" your psychic awareness on the basis of things happening around you and therefore some get confused as to what their gift really is, and how it all works.
It's very hard to explain in words other than to tell you that when I read ppl. or situations, these things just "appear" or come to my mind as if I am being called by an outside force of some sort. There have been numorous occassions where I touched someone and suddenly saw a picture in my mind. I would ask "does this relate to you?" and the answer 95% of the time would be "yes, how did you know?"
Many of us have this ability but not many of us know how to control it. Even for me, it isn't easy, and I've been a seer for a few years. I'm 34 years old and have been seeing things in ppl. and reading how they feel for a few years, now. Even today, sometimes I question my own psychic awareness because without a tutor or mentor to help you understand and hone your "gift", you are left alone in the dark wondering "How did this happen? Where does it come from? and How do I control it to suit my needs or to help others?"
I never had the privilage of tutorials. Only certain books. I think I've read just about every book there is about psychic awareness and the ability to read ppl. It comes from the energy of the human soul. What I've learned is that everyone has the ability to be psychic. Not everyone has the ability to bring it forth and use it as one of their senses, though. Our mind is different from our brain. Our brain controls our central nervous system, along with most of our other bodily functions, but think about this.... Where do your ideas come from? What is it that makes you YOU? It's NOT your brain. Think of yourself as a radio antenna. You receive signals from outside sources....your brain is the receiver and transmitter.
Your brain doesn't CREATE your thoughts, personality, psychic awareness, emotions, etc... Your brain just processes the information so it can be understood and come out in the form of pictures, words, etc.... So....where do your thoughts come from, then?....What is all around us? Energy! It's in everything on this earth and beyond! What keeps the Earth spinning? What makes wind blow? What makes grass grow so you have to keep getting out the damn lawn mower? Kinetic energy....energy in motion. But where does the energy come from? It's always been here since the beginning of time. This energy also, I believe, contains the energy of souls that have passed from the physical world, into the afterlife. That's why some ppl, including myself, are able to contact the living energy of souls that have passed on. Remember...your brain is a receiver and transmitter....the energy is out there for us to take....some of us can utilize that ability and some of us don't know how, thus we can't. That outside source of energy (including that which is given off by other humans around us) is what our minds absorb which allows us to have these visions, these premenitions, and that "6th sense" that everyone seems to experience now and again. We seperate it from the other things that get processed in our brains because we know it's different...it's from another source of energy and we recognize that. I have been reading ppl. with 95% accuracy for a few years and can even feel their physical pain and their emotions. I can tell when someone is blocking me from reading their energy and I can also talk with ppl. that are no longer in their physical presence. How I got this way, I don't know. Alot of you may be sceptical, but I've been through alot, read alot and have helped numourous ppl. find what is causing their problems, pains and frustrations.
Anyone can be this way, if that's what they really want. It's just not an easy road to travel sometimes. There is mental anguish along the way. If anyone would like me to help them on their journey, I am willing to counsel whoever may need help finding their abilities and their strengths. I've even read ppl. I don't know, right over the computer, with 95% accuracy, as well. (I say 95% because I am very sensative to the energy around me and sometimes if I receive energy from more than one source at the same time, I get the information mixed up and cannot tell where it comes from.)
I'm no where near perfect. Not by a long shot. and I don't claim to be a John Edward type, but I have been working at my gift for a few years and have gotten to the point where I can control it enough to not let it get out of hand, but not too much beyond that. I still sometimes read ppl. "by accident" if they're not blocking me. My mind is always going. Always. I write poetry to help settle and heal this aspect of myself. It helps alot.
I have twice moved physical objects through the use of manipulating energy (without my physical body) and have seen actual things happen in places I've never physically been.(dreams)
Anyone can write to me, if they want to. I'm a very insightful and understanding person and am very compassionate.
Abit on the "dark" side to some...I like the night and it's energy...I like dark poetry and I am Gothic, but very open and very accepting of others, no matter who they are.
Oh, by the way....if someone wants to charge you $40.00 for a psychic reading.....they are probably fake.
Any truly gifted and psychicly aware person would not do that. It's something that just "happens". Not something you can turn on and off like a light switch. If there are any true psychics on here that DO charge for readings, I apologize, but for the most part, I have gone to these so-called "psychics" at fairs and have been able to read them right through their B.S. and know they are fakes....like Miss Cleo!!!
