Good Morning, Thor

For dinner last night, I went to College Town Pizza and got a delicious pizza to go. It was a totally ME make my own pizza: mozzarella, parmesan, classic marinara (from the ONE place in town that makes REAL pizza sauce that is freekin' amazing), mushrooms, black olives, and garlic. OH IT WAS SO GOOD! I walked in and ordered to go, so I even got the whole old school pizza place experience. If it was bigger, it could be Vinnie's from back home.
I also got a cannoli for dessert. College Town makes fabulous cannolis.

The pizza was awesome. Everything I like in a real style pizza. Again, it's the only REAL East coast style place in town. I like Papa John's to a point, but it's cheepie chain pizza. I admit my medium pizza and cannoli were $20.25. That's a lot for a small sized pizza and cannoli, so I obviously don't do this a whole hell of a lot. It really was worth it. The owners do it right. Plus they have a wall of Red Sox stuff, and some Bruins stuff too. It's a REAL freekin' New England pizza joint transplanted to Alaska. The (soon to be former) owners are from Mass with some family in NY so there are a couple of icky NY things on the opposite side of the place. Normal sensible people ignore them. I think the new owner is going to keep everything rolling. I hope so at least.

Since I ended up cooking the whoopie pies last night, I saved my cannoli for today. Yup. It's a healthy breakfast. Milk, cheese, flour, touch of orange... what more should I have? Thanks Bill Cosby, I love your reasoning!

I sat down on the couch with my cannoli ensconced in the little take away box - why dirty a dish? Leisurely, I began to enjoy my delightfully delicious breakfast. Sitting and slowly munching seemed to encourage Thor, so he hopped up to hang out this morning. Suddenly, I caught motion out of the corner of my eye, and just barely moved the cannoli container in time. Apparently I paid too much attention to my food and not enough to the bunny. I was within fractions of an inch of having a furry little rabbit garnish on my cannoli!

Bad rabbit!

Guess I need to get dressed now, take out my huge trash bag, and get to Chris's family's house with this week's mail as well as the plate of mint and regular whoopie pies.
