Apparently I live in a fortress...

So, here's a little fact I was unaware of when I moved to Denver seven years ago, and have somehow managed to remain unaware of up until this very moment.... Denver is a fortress.
According to AOL's travel guide to the city of Denver, and I quote:
"Denver is a geographically isolated city sitting exactly one mile above sea level and over 600 barren miles from the next closest major city. Concealed from the west by bold foothills and towering 14,000-foot peaks, and protected to the east by an expansive and unforgiving high desert terrain, it is a place where everybody seems to be from somewhere else."

The things you never knew about your own home, right?

In other news, my life is boring. Work is the same; I generally spend my weekends with my pretty keen boyfriend; and the projects I think I'd like to start working on I have neither the tools nor the skils to do so (some sewing projects, painting, et cetera). I'm going to see Brian Reegan this weekend on Chuck's birthday which will probably be awesome (WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY?!) and the next day I'm going out for Doc's birthday (apparently August is a really good time of year to have sex).

I love you all, I'm sorry I never update, but I swear, there's not really anything interesting going on. If I manage to successfully complete some sort of creative project, I'll be sure and let you guys know about it though.

Love to all!
