Bit of a dry spell recently but I found a good one today in an online discussion on education. The quote: "Last century, AFAIK, education was vastly memorization-focused, especially primary education. I've got this turn-of-the-century arithmetic book that is just arithmetic facts rhymed to help you remember them-nothing conceptual at all. Or think of all those poems Alice tries to recite in
Alice In Wonderland; they're parodies of poems that every girl would be expected to memorize in school."
Edit: Found another one, someone on a forum I hang around on uses the screen name 'Hatter', complete with an avatar of a guy in a top hat.
