LJ has changed things up again
Not impressed.
Partied on Sunday. Went to uncles-in-law New Years party and drank copious amounts of wine and consumed much food. Then Man Creature tells me something that I feared.
"Oh, by the way, I found out that Mockingbird Lane has not been picked up."
Fuck.
Did you HAVE to tell me that now? When I'm having a good time? Fuck.
Appearently NBC had no intention of actually making it a series. The executive that was all about making a Munsters remake handed the project over to the writer/director/producer and said 'have at it' and then ignored what was happening until it was practically finished. Then he went "This isn't what I wanted."
Then there's some internets rumor about when the executive found out that Eddie Izzard was one of the actors he went "Waaaa? I don't want him around. He's going to be nothing but problems." He has a reputation. Mind you, Eddie wasn't a problem. He LOVED the project. Fuck, I think Grandpa was written FOR him, so it was all good as far as he was concerned. Does Eddie have a reputation for being difficult. Yea, years ago. Sobriety and middle-age tends to mellow one out.

NBC has been having some issues. All shows that once garnered great reviews and viewers are all either long gone or have just gone to suck. They cleaned house a year ag, hoping that it would change things.
Instead they cancel their best thing in forever before it even airs, even though the internets have been a buzz SINCE it aired, but fuck no. Not the show we wanted. We wanted something... worse...
