brucius and I donated a box of books, toys and clothes to St Vincent de Paul the other day. I realised shortly afterward that I would really rather hang on to 3 of the books - they have a lot of sentimental value and I must have been suffering from a bout of cold heartedness when I decided to part with them.
So Bruce went up today to buy them back and they're gone!!
Apparently when a box of stuff gets donated it doesn't stay in the same place, it gets shipped around to whichever store needs more toys, clothes etc.
Now I'm bookless and gutted and have no one to blame but myself - which is the worst kind of blame!!
Whoever buys those books is not gonna know that I save up my hard-earned pocket money when I was 13 to buy them. They won't care.
I'm an idiot.
