Lots of stuff!
I've been very busy over the past few days and have done a flurry of writing. As of now...
1). Wrote p.17-19 of NC, Ch.6 first draft is done!
2). Wrote p.5-10 of SDS!
Not finished with SDS yet. I may finish tomorrow, but my writing group has been extremely flaky to the point of irking me in a bad way. It's not a group if I'm the only one writing, so... I dunno, I maybe just leave to the side for the time being. Or finish it later. Depends how I feel. :P
In other news, my god, the internet amuses me so much sometimes. For weeks, journalists and indie developers denied conflict of interest allegations, insulted their own audience, and threw a hissyfit about how everyone was being terrible to women in a blatant attempt to cover up what people were actually complaining about.
And, predictably, as the weeks wore on, they've become very, very quiet as:
1). their traffic dropped
2). more and more evidence came out not only proving the internet's point, but revealing new scandals in the process
3). evidence revealing that several of the nasty allegations of abuse that Quinn and Sarkeesian were receiving was fabricated
4). gaming websites lost advertisers
5). evidence revealing that Quinn has abused her power and cheated people was revealed
6). and the internet in general refused to shut up about the whole thing
On one hand, good for the intarwebs. Seriously.
On the other hand, I just can't stop laughing at this whole thing. Why the FUCK would you try to pick a fight with the internet? Just why? I mean, even using common sense, you'd have to be a grade-A idiot to do something like this, and the fact that it backfired in these people's faces is just too funny not to laugh at.
