He puffed out an exasperated sigh and eyed the water warily from the top of a teacher's desk that had floated into the hallway. Wolf couldn't recall the last time he'd actually gone for a swim, and even if he could it wouldn't be likely that his knowledge would help him swim as a wolf.
With a shake he stood up and, with determination, he jumped into the water around him. It took a moment to get the right momentum- four legs were harder to coordinate than two- but once he got going it hadn't been so bad.
He paddled his way down the hall and wondered if he should have been looking for something in these dreams. Wolf still didn't get the purpose of them and even if he did find something, it wasn't likely he'd know what to do with it. But he looked anyway, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary, which led him into the nearest classroom.
-which apparently had a large bird on a desk. What?

He squawked loudly and his wings spread out, trying to keep himself balanced. It seemed to be working, until Falco heard the sound of someone--or something--treading water.
He looked up at the doorway where he saw.. a large wolf paddle in. He tensed up automatically--was that instinct or his own fear of being in this strange dream? Falco didn't know--and his eyes locked onto it. His mouth opened and he tried to talk, but all that came out was a shriek.
"..." Well, that wasn't going to help, was it? Hopefully the wolf would leave him alone. He'd seen his share of PBS specials while bored on Saturday nights. He didn't want to become this wolf's next meal or anything.

Of course, then the damn thing shrieked at him. He could understand the humans around this place just fine, but when it came to other animals it seemed he still had no idea. Wolf had to wonder if he ever came across another wolf here if they'd actually be able to talk.
Unlikely. He pushed his head up a little from the water, enough to get bark-like sound out in reply but then he all but ignored the bird in favor of giving the room a look-over. Wolf swam around the area, still unsure what he was looking for, but determined to find it anyway.
He glanced over at the over-large bird again- not keeping an eye on something with a beak that big would probably be unwise- and that was when something shiny caught his eye. Wolf blinked and focused on it, confused for a moment until he realized the same beads he'd had on his leg and that Rasiel had around his neck last time were around the bird's neck, too.
"...!" Wolf let out another weird barking sound and this time he paddled over to the desk. If he had beads too then maybe this bird was another student taking the retarded class. It didn't really occur to him that they'd be entirely unable to communicate, but he'd figure that out sooner or later.

He flinched a little at the barking noises the wolf made, feathers ruffling and Falco moving to stand up on the desk, despite how much it wobbled underneath him. It was looking straight at him now and Falco wasn't entirely sure what that meant.
Another bark and Falco shrieked in response, the sound vibrating in his throat and turning into a weirder sound as it started swimming closer. He wanted to back up, but there was nowhere to back up to, so he held his ground, stretching his wings out. Why was it coming closer? Falco wasn't sure what to do anymore. He had nowhere to run, really, and he doubted that birds could swim. Unless they were ducks or something, which he wasn't.

Once he got close enough to the desk that he could just simply look up at the bird, he stopped and proceeded to tread water. He almost growled at the fact he couldn't just tell the falcon exactly what was going on, but instead he tried to focus on things he could tell him. Obviously he could show him the matching beads, but that would be a trick to accomplish when he needed all four legs to swim.
"..." It would be annoying, but he'd have to do a roll. He smacked his tail against the water to get the bird's attention- it'd be so damn stupid if he did it and the bird somehow didn't see- before he set himself into motion. Wolf kicked with one side and managed to roll onto his back and thus submerged his top half underwater instead. With a few jerky motions he managed to straighten out the leg that had the beads on them and tried to shake it around to catch his attention.
It didn't last very long, and soon Wolf's body righted itself. He hacked at the water that managed to enter his mouth and nose, almost sneezing to get it all out. Stupid body didn't seem to appreciate his weird ideas.

But, as the wolf started to flip over in the water, Falco stared down at it, his eyes flicking over to the paw waving in the air.
Beads. It had beads on its leg. Just like the ones around his neck. Did that mean this wolf was actually a student?
Falco's posture relaxed as the wolf turned back around and coughed, his wings settling down against his body. He shook his head as some water splashed on him and made a small squawking sound. How would he convey that he understood?

He looked back up at the bird and was pretty pleased that it looked to be at least slightly more relaxed. That was something at least and all he could really ask for. It had been a lot easier talking to Rasiel, who at least had the ability to speak and ask questions, but he figured they'd figure out something.
But they needed to leave first. The room's wate level continued to rise and soon they wouldn't be able to move around in here. He thumped his tail against the water and jerked his head to the door, trying to indicate that they needed to get out of here. Even with the water this high the bird should have been able to fly out, right?

He blinked and cocked his head to the side, trying to understand what the wolf was attempting to say. He was jerking his head to the side...
Oh, did he want to leave? Well, that would be fine, if Falco could actually fly. Or at least swim. He made a soft sound in his throat before carefully moving across the top of the desk. It tilted under his weight and before long, his talons were half-submerged in water. There had to have been a spot he could jump to, right?
Looking around, Falco noted another desk across the way. Snorting quietly, he readied himself for a jump. Another moment of mental preparation and Falco pushed against the desk with his feet, flapping his wings in some attempt to at least soften the landing.
He landed on the desk, at least, but not before the entire thing sunk under his weight before bobbing up again. Falco shrieked and shook himself, sending droplets of water everywhere. This would definitely be difficult to accomplish.

But then the bird had moved to the far side of the desk. It looked like he'd managed to convey what he wanted just fine, and soon the bird had hopped to the nearest desk- only to get coated in water.
Great. That wouldn't help. If the bird had this much of an issue flying, they'd get nowhere. He let out a small snort and paddled over to the new desk, wondering just what they could do to keep both of them moving. The floating desk seemed to be holding the bird's weight well enough, so maybe...
With some curiosity, he bumped his head against the desk to see if he could push it. Maybe if he could move the desk he could push the bird along with him. An unappealing idea, but it would have to do.

"..!" And then, there was a bump against the desk and Falco shrieked, nearly toppling over into the water. He looked behind him and saw the wolf was pushing the desk from behind.
Well, that was nice of him. He must have noticed his inability to fly. Falco chirped--or the closest sound he could make to a chirp--at the wolf, trying to convey his gratitude. Who knew if it'd even understand him.

But it worked, and that was enough. He nudged the desk again for the door and hoped the bird would have the sense to duck as they went through, otherwise he'd probably get smacked in the face by the arch.
If he heard the chirp it didn't really register as a thanks. But Wolf figured if he wasn't thankful he could hop off the damn desk and drown if he wanted.
