Papa Don't Preach....
Oi vay! It has been so crazy lately, but I just calmed down with some yoga. It was nice, I've never really done it before, besides in gym class earlier today. So today was a normal day, yesterday was a snowday so that was nice. Science class was funny, we have to make a factory or jail or whatever we want out of a cell. Well I mean that the parts of a cell will have to be like the parts of the jail (which is what my group chose). An example would be the security cameras and barbed wire of a prison would be the Cell Membrane of a cell. The Cell Membrane surrounds almost everything and monitors what enters and exits the cell. Stuff like that, we had fun doing it and I did an awesome drawing but while I was drawing mine another girl in our group did her own and the rest of the group decided to use hers..it made me sad, but oh well. We had to do presentations in English of our process papers. I have to go next week, I really wanted to go too...I love presenting. Then in Economics, we have this paper due next week and I haven't even started it, none of the research either. So I'm kinda screwed. So I guess I better start doing that soon...oh man! You guys all have to come see Pinkerton Idol! I'm singing in it. I was having trouble and kind of panicking about it because I couldn't find accompaniment for the song I want (And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going, from the musical Dreamgirls). So I was gonna switch my song, but my dad says one of his old friends from when he worked as a producer owes him some favors. Let me tell you that this guy is incredible. You plop the piece down in front of him and he can sight read the whole thing, so my Dad's gonna call him tomorrow and set up a date early next week and I'm going down to his house (it's kinda far away) and we're gonna run the song a few times and then he's going to record it. Now, depending on the quality of the recording we do at his house (he's a musician so he should have some good equipment), if it isn't a good recording then he can go to his friends house, whose has a recording studio and record the piano for me and get it to me on tuesday or wednesday. So that's good! I'm excited, and for the second song (if I get into the second round) is gonna be "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones. That I can get on recording very easily! Change of subject. Kelly and I were supposed to go the movies today but she didn't really feel like it so we decided not to go. I really want to see the Phantom of the Opera when it comes out. Side note: I'm going to see Wicked and Rent on Broadway in March. I'm so excited, that was my big Christmas present. Also, we're checking out the college of my choice (John Jay College of Criminal Justice) it's one of the best colleges in the country for criminal justice. Also they have a drama group and one of the majors is Forensic Technician, which is awesome! I just remembered that I have an audition for the school musical on Tuesday....oi! I'm auditioning for Mrs. Potts, I hope I get the part, that would be soo cool! I wanted to audition for Peacock Player's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but I missed auditions. I would have wanted to be Veruca Salt (she was the brat) I think I could play a good brat...ha! Ok well I'm gonna go read!
