Well, I didn't get into Much Ado - alas! - but I did get into a one-act that's coming up, so I'm terribly pleased. Hooray!! Why did Paula* turn me off to acting so much? As much as I love tech - and I do - I really love acting as well. I forget that sometimes. It's a joy.
Other than that, I'm taking it easy before the Abilene trip - Caity, Sweeney and I are all taking ESL training, which is...interesting, but frankly I don't think repeating "This is a pen" 1000x will help someone learn English, but of course that was only the first day, so we shall see what the new days shall bring. But hey, I get certified for liiiiife, and this will help with mad Peace Corps skillz.
Craig and I went to Harrisburg in the HUGE RAINSTORM in what is probably the preparation (in theory) for mad researching at the Eisenhower Library, in the sense that we made unneccesary photocopies, realized the real location of materials, loaded microfilm wrong, lamented the lack of free microfilm copies, and attempted not to cause a ruckus. However, we found what we were looking for - hooray!
Now to prep for Abilene - yikes. I'm excited though. Which shows how nerdy I am.
Off to bed - already faaaar too late!
*High School Drama Prof, for those that didn't know... There are far too many stories.
p.s. I have to teach kids in class the words Man and Woman. I am using
this photo for man and
this for woman. Tee hee!
