Yesterday at work, motivated by girldetective's recommendation, I picked up Kazuo Ishiguro's newest novel Never Let Me Go and, umm, didn't let it go until my shift was over (sorry! couldn't resist). this is the first book of his that I've read. I'm definitely going to have go through his, uhh, oeuvre (ha! can't believe I used that word but there you go). what would you recommend? I actually have a copy of When We Were Orphans at my parents' house, so perhaps I'll start with that ... but if there's something you think I should read beforehand, let me know.

heh, that's the only one I haven't read. Funny coincidence, that. I really, really liked Remains of the Day, and I liked A Pale View of Hills a lot too.
