this may be a longer than 8-point post as it really has been a long time since I have taken the time to compose my thoughts into a post... a lot has been going on lately... so yeah.. here's whats been going on...
Did I mention that I don't like the rain these days?
1 … Logan seems to be doing fine - more & more active - when can I enroll him in soccer? …
2 … It's been a month since Ike hit the Texas Gulf Coast and we are still recovering is many ways …
3 … Felix stood the downed fence sections & even re-built the side section (moving it forward 12 feet so that it's even with the neighbor's fence line) …
4 … we finally had a visit from the adjuster (after Felix had a face-to-face w/ our agents) …
5 … The adjuster inspected the interior & exterior very thoroughly during his 4-hr visit …
6 … We are in need of a complete new roof as the building codes for our area have changed to require the 110-mph-rated shingles (we currently have/had the 70-mph-rated) …
7 … Houston had it's 1st rain storm since Ike this past Tuesday - and I'm not talking a light rain ...
8 … it was pitch-black during the mid-to-late-morning hours as the heavy rains came down …
9 … Felix had to take the trip to Ohio this past week - he drove... I stayed home …
10 … The pile of debris (all the carpet & padding & sheet-rock from the demo-ed walls & ceilings from our up-stairs) finally disappeared from in front of our house this past Wednesday …
11 … I get to pick out colors for painting the other rooms in the house that took damage - YAY!!! …
12 … No comic books were damaged as a result of the wet ceiling falling on the comic-book boxes …
13 … Since Ike hit, I have taken the opportunity to read a few of my series that I'm behind on my reading (the Anita Blake series is quite enjoyable) …
14 … We caught Burn After Reading, great Coen Brothers' movie ...
15 … No word on if we're having Mardi Gras this upcoming spring …
16 … Kat's Krewe of Khorn were victorious vs Felix's 'nids a few weeks ago …
